  • Account Management: To create and manage your user account, we collect your email address and phone number. This is based on the performance of the contract (our Terms of Use).
  • Service Delivery: To provide you with drug interaction analysis, we process medical data (list of medications) that you enter. This data is sent to VIDAL's servers for analysis without any personal identifiers that could link it to you. We never associate this medical data with your identity.
  • Service Improvement: We analyze anonymized usage data to improve the technical and functional performance of our services. This is based on our legitimate interest to enhance our application.
  • Communication: We may use your email to send you important information about the service (updates, security alerts) and, with your consent, marketing communications.

3. Data Sharing and Third Parties

We do not sell your personal data. We only share it with trusted partners for specific purposes:

  • VIDAL France: We send the lists of medications you wish to analyze to VIDAL's API to obtain interaction results. This data is anonymized and contains no personal identifiers. This data is used by VIDAL solely for the analysis and is not linked to any advertising or other profiles.
  • Google Firebase: We use Firebase for authentication services. Your email and phone number are shared with Google for this purpose and are processed in accordance with their privacy policy.
  • Apple (App Store) & Google (Play Store): Subscriptions and payments are managed through these platforms, which may collect payment and device data according to their own policies.
  • AdMob: The application may display ads via Google's AdMob service. AdMob may collect device and usage data to personalize ads. The anonymized medical data sent to VIDAL is never linked to your AdMob advertising profile.
  • Legal Obligations: We may disclose your information if required by law or in response to a valid request from a public authority.

4. Data Storage and International Transfers

Your personal data (email, phone number) is stored securely in local data centers provided by Amazon Web Services (AWS) located within your region (e.g., Middle East for UAE/KSA users) to ensure compliance with local data sovereignty laws. Data shared with partners like Google or Apple may be transferred internationally under secure conditions, in compliance with applicable regulations (e.g., using Standard Contractual Clauses).

5. Data Security

We implement robust technical and organizational measures to protect your data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. This includes in-transit/at-rest encryption, access controls, and regular security audits. In the event of a data breach, we will notify you and the competent authorities as required by law.

You have the following rights over your personal data:
